What happens when cyclists run out of places to lock their bikes in New York City? Just as buildings tend to be taller in higher population densities, so does bicycle parking. Even though the bikes are locked into a static position, I felt the colorful floating bikes give a sense of upward mobility, which remind me of bubbles blowing off the dismal gray pavement of the concrete jungle.
