The 2000 Cycle Messenger World Championships held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania were dedicated to a messenger in Chicago, who was deliberately run over by a 4x4 sports utility vehicle. The driver drove off and later turned himself in after realizing his license plate was missing because it was still under the messenger's body. Like many hit-and-run drivers he probably thought he could get away with it, but instead he was convicted. This image was meant to convey the guilt of all hit-and-run drivers and was submitted to the art show at the 2000 CMWC. I illustrated this simple bumper in color pencil then digitally altered it to add the quote from Shakespeare's "Macbeth," which is a classic play involving aspects of murder and guilt.
