An old tech-wiz school mate of mine established his own computer and networking consulting company shortly after graduating. He commissioned me to develop a company logo for him, and the resulting work became my first freelance graphic design piece. He requested a logo, which included the initials of his company's name, "McHugh Computer Consulting" and wanted it to convey the feeling of power and electricity. With that in mind I utilized the concept of the lightning bolts from the mythological Greek god Zues as the source for my imagery. I chose to include a thin green outline to make a subtle connection to the delicate green circuit boards used in electronics as well as the green felt traditionally found on desk mats and in parlor rooms. The MCC logo was used on business cards, letter heads, and an awning outside the MCC office.
