There is a unique courier service in New York City called Checker Courier. It is one of a kind because it offers discounted oversize-package delivery rates, which directly compete with the higher-priced van and truck services of other companies. The Checker Courier name was chosen to reflect the many yellow taxi cabs found everywhere in New York as well as the idea of speed associated with the winning checker flag waved at race finish lines.

New York taxi cabs all have an annual city-issued shield-shaped medallion bolted to their hoods, so naturally Checker Courier bikes also have a similar medallion on their cargo bin lids. This blue Checker Courier "medallion" is the company's emblem. Along with medallions, NY taxi cabs usually have fair rates and company names posted on their doors as well. Therefore Checker Courier bicycles have their own decals prominently displayed on their yellow cargo bins too. Other than decals and a brochure I have also designed Checker Courier business cards, promotional materials, and even a Checker Courier cycling jersey.
